Surabhi Mehrotra is Assistant Professor in Maulana Azad National Institute Technology (MANIT), Bhopal with about 20 years of experience together in research, academics and consultancy. With experience in both academic and industrial projects, she has developed great understanding of working with students, government officials and stakeholders. She has demonstrated expertise in conducting Focus Group Discussions for Bhopal Development Plan process (BDP 2031) along with Town and country planning officials as vetting member. She has been actively involved as landscape and Socio-economic expert in Expert Advisory Committees for wetland protection. She has trained government officials on environment applications, watershed management and resource planning while working with BISAG, Gujarat – a state level agency for application of Geoinformatics. She possesses rich expertise in application of Geographically Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analytical tools. Her research domain focus is on climate-responsive development of urban areas, and framing policy guidelines for future development.
